Register for Summer Reading

HCPL Summer Reading 2025, Color Our World, begins Monday, June 2, and runs through Saturday, August 16!

Reading over summer break can prevent summer learning loss and set children up for success in the next school year and beyond.

Reading goals are easy and fun!

• Infants to Preschoolers: 25 books
• Elementary: 10 books
• Middle & High School: 3 books
• Adults: 5 books

Beginning Monday, June 2, registration goodies for infants through high school ages will be available at all HCPL locations. This year, infants through teens entering 12th grade can pick up a summer coupon sheet filled with offers from local businesses and a voucher to attend an Aberdeen IronBirds baseball game. All while supplies last.

Completion prizes and certificates will be available beginning Monday, June 16, while supplies last. This year’s prizes include…

• FREE BOOK for infants to children entering grade 8 who complete their reading goal.
• FREE HORIZON CINEMAS MOVIE TICKET for kids entering grade 9 through 12 who complete their reading goal.
