It's Time to Start Your Garden

Chesapeake Farm & Bay to Table

You don’t need a lot of land to grow an expansive kitchen garden… you can work your green thumb by planting and growing a small herb garden. Robert Cook, a master gardener with Baltimore City Master Gardeners will share how to plan and pick the best herbs for specific environments. Jason Posey from Max’s Degrees - The Spice Guys, will share the wonders of dried herbs and various blends. And you know- this show would not be complete without a stroll through the 32nd Street Market! The April 13 episode of "Chesapeake Farm & Bay to Table" is presented in partnership with Harford County Public Library, Our Common Table, Chef John Shields' restaurant Gertrude’s Chesapeake Kitchen, 32nd Street Farmers Market, Baltimore City Master Gardeners and Max’s Degrees--the Spice Guys.

Then Chef John, Library CEO Mary, Robert, and Jason will get busy in the kitchen preparing spring pea soup, herb-encrusted roast chicken, and a yummy rhubarb dessert.
