An extension of the LEAP collection and geared for children grades 1 and up. Learning music and playing an instrument facilitates learning other subjects, and can improve a child’s understanding and learning of mathematical concepts.

HCPL LEAP: Science is Fun!

Science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) skills are key to a child’s success. Harford County Public Library developed the Learn, Explore, and Play or LEAP Program, a series of fun, free, educational programming and equipment kits to enhance interest and competence in these fields.

HCPL Nature Backpack Kits

Explore, enjoy, and educate while hiking locally. The tools, guides, and activities found in the backpacks will enable meaningful and memorable interactive opportunities for you and your family.
