Welcome to Harford County Public Library 2023 Winter Reading program, You Are What You Read!

Created especially for adults and high school students in grades 9-12, Winter Reading runs Wednesday, December 21 through Saturday, March 4.

Participation is easy and fun! Adults must read or listen to at least 5 books and high school students must read or listen to at least 3 books.

Once you complete this part of the Winter Reading program you will earn your FREE 2023 HCPL Winter Reading collectors’ mug*. You can pick your mug up at any of our library locations.

In addition to reading your way through Winter Reading, there are so many other ways that you can participate!

You can log your participation in HCPL’s programs/events, social media, digital materials, and so much more! In addition, we are encouraging support for our amazing local business community. You can log your activities such as dining out, ordering take out, shopping, visiting entertainment venues, and the like… at businesses located right here in Harford County! Log any combination of these activities and you’ll be entered to win one of ten HCPL Swag Bags.

And speaking of local businesses, some very special businesses have agreed to be a part of our 2023 Winter Reading Passport program.
