Today is National Library Workers Day… a time to celebrate the expertise, hard work, and dedication of library staff!
Each and every role at the library contributes to fulfilling Harford County Public Library’s mission of
connecting our community with high-quality library experiences and promoting the love of reading and learning.
Now, more than ever we see this in action- our teams have been working tirelessly to find new ways to continue
providing opportunities for all ages through education, training, technology, homework help, interactive play and more.
From expanding the WiFi reach outside of each branch; to adding new products to our website; to expanding loan parameters
with vendors; to extending the return date of library materials (to June 1!); to waiving fees and fines during this time period; to automatically renewing expired library cards; to increasing the frequency of our eNews… these are just a few of the many ways that our team is staying engaged to, and addressing the needs of you, our treasured customer.
The Library has a truly critical role in our community and while we remain closed indefinitely, please know that we all take great pride in continuing to serve you and we look forward to seeing you down the road when life returns to our collective new normal.
